Who stands behind the numbers? PlainEmploy's figures come straight from three official sources, the International Labour Organization (EPLex), the World Bank (Business Ready / B-READY), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD EPL index). According to our editorial policy, the pipeline validates each index for unit, denominator, and vintage against the published source releases covering 145 countries, and our editorial process are responsible for how that data is framed, compared, and explained. When a source revises a figure, we refresh the affected pages and the data is recomputed at the source; see our methodology and editorial & corrections policy for how we source, compare, and correct the data.

plainemploy is a data-journalism publisher: we compile public datasets, verify them against their official sources, and present them in plain language. Editorial standards, sourcing, and how we handle corrections are described on our about and methodology pages.
